Bruce Vanderlaan
Bruce Vanderlaan, Managing Partner, has been a key part of dozens of M&A transactions since 1992 as an attorney representing one of the parties, a closing agent getting the deal done, or as an investment banker guiding a client through the mergers and acquisitions process. He has advised many more owners in the US and Canada on the key performance indicators in healthcare and how they influence value, using them to increase profits day to day as well as in a transaction, and using data to improve their Practices.

Vanderlaan has been a speaker at several national conferences, including the Home Health Care News Capital + Strategy conference, HHCN Home Care Conference, CareForum, TCIV, Home Care Association of Florida, and the Health Management Association, has conducted numerous webinars and seminars, and has published several articles on building value for agency owners.

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor degree and brings that level of advocacy and confidentiality to the representation of all his clients.

Julie A. Simpson
Julie A. Simpson, Partner, has spent the majority of her professional life honing her varied skill sets in business operations, P&L responsibility, financial analysis for strategic decision-making, cash flow analysis, executive leadership and personnel development, contract review and negotiation, process development and training, and founder support. She has focused on healthcare leadership since 2010, as the C.F.O. & Executive Director of Southwest Florida Oral & Facial Surgery.

Julie is dedicated to the success of medical and dental specialties, actively participating in the national Society of OMS Administrators (SOMSA) since 2012 and as elected Treasurer since 2021. Simpson was awarded the inaugural Dana Leach Administrator of the Year Award in 2020. This award represents superlative achievement in six core areas - leadership, education, authenticity, innovation, compliance, and networking.
In addition to driving business success through founder advocacy for over 30 years, Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Services Administration.
